Chairman’s Message
Saturday was a long day in Harrisonburg for the Republican Party of Virginia’s convention. Like most things in life, some results you supported, some results you did not. However, as every speaker at the convention stressed, we must now become unified to win in November.
I was proud of our Henrico County convention delegation – one of the largest present of about 120. Despite the long day, the uncomfortable bleacher seats, and the impossibly small space within which we had to work to conduct voting, everyone worked together patiently to ensure that every vote was properly cast, accurately counted, and double recounted. I want to thank the Henrico delegation, as well as my “team” of helpers: Tammy and James Beard, David Eggleston, Lee Pillsbury, Mark and Anita Hile, Rick McDonald, Dana Smith, Bryan Horn and my wife, Mary-Alice. Many more offered to help, but the space was just too small to involve more.
Let the Henrico County Republican Committee move forward proving that it is a model for all other units – a model for unity, inclusion, hard work, and, most of all winning results! We are still looking for volunteers for all committees and projects.
Join me this Saturday, May 7, for our monthly Henrico County Republican Committee breakfast at the O’Charley’s on Gaskins Road. More details are on the Committee website.
